BOOK STUDY

Lent is a season of truth-telling.

This year we will read The Origin of Satan by Elaine Pagels and ask how Christians learned to divide the world into saints and devils — and what Jesus actually teaches about enemies.

This study will help us:
• Break the spell of enemy-creation
• Reclaim the complexity of scripture
• Re-center Jesus’ refusal to demonize

Because the church of Jesus does not survive by fear.
It lives by resurrection.
