Easter Season Study of John 3 with Pastor Bair

Pastor Bair (“PB”, pastor of St. Luke from 1988-2019, for anyone who is new!) will lead five sessions on John 3 on Wednesdays at 6pm in April (and May 1).   These will be in person at church with a zoom option found HERE.

PB requests those interested to listen to a podcast prior to the sessions. This will enable us to have maximum time for conversation.  Click on triangular “play” buttons below.

EASTER BREAKFAST COOKS AND KITCHEN HELP SIGNUP

It takes many people to make the Easter Breakfast possible! Please follow this link to sign up where you can best contribute, or there are paper signups in the narthex.

Cooks are needed to prepare breakfast strata casseroles, baked French toast, baked goods such as buns, breads, coffee cakes, and breakfast meats.  The online signup has links to sample recipes, which are also available printed at church, by the paper signups.

We also need setup and serving help—details at the signup link!

FROM THE SOCIAL MINISTRY COMMITTEE

The Social Ministry Committee will be coordinating our usual Lenten project, assembling personal care kits for Lutheran World Relief. Rather than having many donors out shopping for supplies, we’re trying something new: raising funds to purchase the supplies in bulk. We’re asking the congregation to help us raise $800 or more. Checks may be mailed to the church or placed in the offering plates marked Personal Care Kits in the memo section. We are also considering assembling some additional kits specifically to meet the needs of local homeless persons. More information on that will be forthcoming. Our goal at the moment is to make 75 personal care kits. We’re hoping that the Sunday School and Confirmation classes can help with the kit assembly to be scheduled for a Sunday after Easter.
