You may not be able to see the picture clearly, but these are rainbow colored doors on a church in Syracuse that read:

“God’s doors are open to all.”

Each Sunday we proclaim that the table of Christ is open to all people without exception. We do so because as a church we believe that God’s door (and doors) is/are open to all. And this is the message we need to be sure is sent to every corner of Ithaca and the surrounding community this Pride Month…like God’s table and door…so too is our church open to all.

No exception!

This Pride Month, St. Luke is going to be very active in the community. First, on June 9th, we will be tabling at Pride in the Park in Ithaca’s Dewitt Park. We have a sign-up form in the narthex asking folks to select an hour (or more) to sit at the table and greet folks as they celebrate Price in Ithaca. As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we need to be sure that everyone is aware of our radical and unquestioning welcome.

We have folks signed up, but we need more. We need YOU!

From 8am-10am we will be able to set up. Could we perhaps find another volunteer or two?

Then, from 10am – 4pm we need another few folks on the hour each hour.

There is a sign up sheet in the narthex. You can also sign up via this link.

If you have any questions, please email, text, or talk to Pr. Jason.
